Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza
Thursday, September 13, 2012
Once again
the Mt. Vernon Chapter is sponsoring a bus trip to the Pennsylvania National
Quilt Extravaganza in the Greater Philadelphia area on Thursday, September 13,
2012. The bus will be leaving the
Hollin Hall Senior Center, 1500 Shenandoah Rd., Alexandria, VA at 6:30 am and
returning at 8:30 pm. The price will be
$60 per person. For this fee you will
have a seat on the bus, admission to the show, driver tip, and a light breakfast
(bagel, cream cheese, juice), a little snack for later (such as an apple, a
granola bar and a bottle of water), and a free shopping bag. All of these will be given to you on the way
to the show. We’ll have door prizes on
the bus and a few games to keep things exciting, and a movie on the way home –
with great costumes, great antiques, and some steamy romance to keep things
exciting!
This show
is unique – the quilts are all beautiful (all are showstoppers! and all the
quilts lie flat!!!!!) and the vendor court has many wonderful and unusual
vendors with especially tempting goods!
You won’t be able to find many of these vendors anywhere else! You can find out more about this show, by checking their website at www.quiltfest.com.
Lunch is on
your own and available at the show, and we will be stopping on the way back for
a quick, on your own dinner at one of the Maryland Welcome Centers. There will also be room for small
coolers on the bus, if you would rather “picnic” your way through the day.
Once paid, your fee will be nonrefundable
(unless the trip is cancelled), so please check your calendar before submitting
your registration form and fee. If you are interested in joining us please fill
out the registration form, which can be found on our blog at: http://mvquilters.blogspot.com/search/label/MVQU%20Program%2FWorkshop%20Registration%20Forms
