May 2020 Show & Tell
Libby Dudley
"Spider Web Table Runner. The gold background pieces were ready for adding
the scraps when I adopted them, from a source that I have forgotten. Am
grateful to that unknown quilter who provided the format, reminding me how to
construct this great design for using fabric bits. Worked on this off and
on for over a year and finished soon after the sequestering began. "
Ginny Mayes
"This is the leaf quilt I was working on at the quilt-in in February. It
is a king-sized Leaf Promenade I made for my dad’s 80th birthday. I
called it Deer Season in the Dolly Sods because he used to go hunting
with his uncle in Dolly Sods when he was young."

"I’m new to the guild (went to one meeting before the shutdown).
Here’s a couple of quilts I’ve finished during the lockdown.
Baby

"and big t-shirt quilt for my daughter. (If
you look close at the ‘bar harbor’ shirt, you might make out the quilted

"This is for my sister in law Norma who was long overdue a
quilt. It is a double Irish chain, 80 by 100, 100% made from stash.
Nothing purchased! The background is vanilla, not yellow, and the
machine quilting done by a friend is Baptist fan done with rulers I
precut scraps into shapes with my GO. So I really use my scraps! Norma
volunteers heavily at a historical home so I chose my oldest squares.
Mainly from the80’s and 90’s.
