T Carter -- 10,000 Lakes from Fish Tales pattern by McKenna Ryan
"I made 10,000 Lakes in remembrance of a fabulous trip to the Minnesota North shore.  We explored and enjoyed Duluth, Split Rock Lighthouse, Lake Superior, Betty's Pies and Hingeley Road Quilt Shop where I purchased the fabric.  The border and back are Exclusive Minnesota Hoffman Batiks, made especially for Hingeley Road.
Some of my favorite fish -- walleye and trout -- star in this production.  I purchased the glass walleye eyes from Canada, and Jeff Holmin of North Star Taxidermy, Nicolett, Minnesota, gave me the trout eyes.  I embellished further with fishing gear from local bait and tackle shops up North."
