Thanks from Mary and Pat

To each and everyone in the Mount Vernon Chapter--
We want to thank you all for this year.

First, thank you for contributing to the beautiful quilts that Rhonda and Joyce made for us. There's pictures of them below for those of you who couldn't be at the last luncheon. Rhonda and Joyce picked our favorite colors and there are so many different fabrics from so many people that we can't count them all. They are just lovely and will be used for years to come.

Second, we thank you for your contributions for this year. It takes many, many people to make a volunteer group function well and this year we have been awesome - our Quilt Pink submissions are going to be published and sold for a handsome amount; we were the first chapter to have its own blog; we had our first retreat as well as several one-day retreats at the government center; we've done a Crayola challenge, Alzheimer's mini-quilts, a mystery quilt, and held your most successful silent auction ever.

These things didn't happen because of us, but each member has stepped up and contributed to our success. We hope you give Cathy and Beth the kind of support that we've had.
Thank you again,
Mary and Pat

Alzheimer’s Quilt Auction Info

News from Kathy Edwards:

All of the Alzheimer’s quilts have been registered with Ami Simms. If you would like to track their progress you can go to the website: alzquilts.org Scroll down to Priority: Alzheimer’s Quilt Auction. Click on it. If you want to look at this month’s auction, click on it. If your quilt is not being auctioned this month, then you may find it by Clicking on Look at All the Quilts . You may find the quilt you are looking for by clicking on Quilts waiting to be assigned or International Quilt Festival Houston.

The Mt Vernon Priority Alzheimer’s Quilts are numbers 1213 through 1243. As of June 22, only the descriptions are posted.

Quilts that were larger than 9” x 12” were put in another part of the website. You can find them by going to alzquilts.org then scroll down to Little Treasures. To find the Mt Vernon quilts, scroll down to LT117 through LT 121. These quilts can be purchased by making an offer to Ami Simms or waiting until a group is auctioned at Ami’s discretion.

Quilts are usually auctioned during the first 10 days of the month. [Ed Note: Pat Alfredson's quilt is above, Janet Betz's quilt is to the left.] Thanks, again, to all who participated in this worthy project. You are great!
