"This quilt is for my new great-nephew who lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts 

and was born in December. The pattern is AhoySailor by Suzy Quilts."

"This is a Duckworth quilt. The designer is Jo Anne Merrill Duckworth. 

It is sort of an improv Log Cabin quilt and will go to Project Linus."

"We used this pattern for a 10" square block (mine are 5" sq)

 as a charity project back in 2010-2011."

These were all quilt symbols used by the Underground Railroad 

pointing slaves the way to freedom.
