August 2021 Show & Tell

Dianne Tippins has five charity quilts to show.

Cynthia Johnson says "This quilt was inspired by Timna Tarr’s quilt, Summer Reading. I named mine Modern Library, a gift to my sister-in-law who loves to read."

Ginny Mayes has a number of quilts to show

"Used a lot of kid scraps from Susan to make this baby quilt for the visiting nurses."

'A Walkabout quilt made with beehive fabric, given to the visiting nurses through Project Linus."

"This is a MargaretsHopeChest.blogspot.com Siggy Block Remake quilt in all blues and greens. Quilted in Wasabi panto and donated to Project Linus for the visiting nurses outreach program for at-risk babies."

"Another Siggy Block Remake made in medium grey with bright scraps from Susan. Donated to the visiting nurses through Project Linus."

"A
Maryquilts.com strippie made with fabrics from Susan and donated to MVQU charity."

Sharon McAuliffe says

"I made this quilt for my brother-in-law Tom. He is now retired but worked in the logging industry in Montana and Oregon represented by the deer fabric and later for the Arizona Park Service represented by the red fabric.  He is also an avid fisherman, the green fabric."

Kathy Z says "Here’s a pic of my latest quilt.  It’s  ‘modern’ take on a traditional Dresden plate pattern.

It’s a quilt for my nephew’s wedding at the end of the month.  Hopefully, it’s my last wedding quilt - all the nieces and nephews are married now!"

Joan Oelschlager is sharing pieces of a work in progress.
