Cathy Hanratty made two adorable quilts for her friends new twins. Each of the kittens and puppies were appliquéd in place using her embroidery function on her machine.
Barbara Tucker’s clever piecing and use of her focus fabric in this Christmas Attic Window shows just how much fun “snow days” can be. Follow the children as they make their way down the hill starting in the upper left hand window pane to lower right window pane.
“How I spent my retreat…” Pat Alfredson attended our March retreat in Bird-in-Hand, PA and finished this quilt for nephew’s high school graduation. And yes, he does get to take it with him to Indiana State in the fall.
Kathleen Pelligrini shares her bow tie quilt. The graphic use of red, black and white is a winning combination. Quilting by Aby Dolinger.
Gigi Corbin’s grand niece will be snuggling with these beautiful butterflies all the way over in Germany.
Captivated by the view, Bert Garino made this pictorial quilt using a photo she took in Belagio, located in the Lake District outside of Milan, Italy as inspiration. She used many fabrics with texture mimicking the landscape, but it is the use of thread painting that makes it come alive.
This quilt top is Aby’ Dolinger's first attempt at a Blended Quilt.
Aby received the pinwheels in this quilt in one of her long distance block exchanges – the Scotty dogs are the perfect compliment.
“Cinnamon Salsa” is the beautiful result of a class that Kathy Edwards enrolled in online through Quilt University called Darned Quilts. Her instructor, Dena Krane, gave weekly lessons all the way from Kenya. It was so much fun to make that while on a recent trip to a quilt show with Kathy we picked out fabric for her to make two more.
